The Ruby Tetra is an absolutely stunning nano fish with hints of reddish-orange color. They truly stand out in a planted aquarium. It is important to provide hiding places for these fish as they can get stressed out. We recommend rock and driftwood to create caves and crevices.
The Ruby Tetra will reach sizes of about 1 inch. They are pretty peaceful. Although, we would not recommend keeping them with shrimp. They prefer small live foods so baby shrimp would become an easy target.
The scientific name for the Ruby Tetra is Axelrodia riesei.
We feed our Ruby Tetras a mix of frozen foods including daphnia, baby brine, and cyclops. We occasionally feed them Northfin Veggie.

Ordered two of the 1-2 inch. They came in at two inches. I got one male and one female. They acclimated well and were soon happily swimming around eating algae with the rest of my livebearers. They are beautiful fish. Very pleased. I will definitely order from here again!

I received my 10 fry a tad over a month ago and they are thriving! I think I have them sexed out as 5 males and females! They are active and healthy. These are my first Mollies and I love them! Thank you, I T!
