Description: As the name implies MALAWIAN HAWK, is a predatory cichlid that grows to a large size. They have a streamlined body with a large head that helps them navigate the water and prey upon smaller cichlids. They are primarily blue in the face with a black line running down the body. The blue contrasts well with their yellow belly and red dorsal and anal fins.
Females and juveniles MALAWIAN HAWK are silver in color with a black line running down their bodies.
Tank Mate Compatibility: Other Haplochromis and Peacock Cichlids, Plecos and Cuckoo Catfish. Avoid Mbunas.
